Oggi sono disponibili sul mercato, dopo i fatti di Fukushima, svariati modelli di contatori Geiger e dosimetri, di dubbia utilità se non usati correttamente. Molti di questi sono praticamente definibili "vintage" ma il loro costo non sembra seguire la definizione.

Le indagini di tipo "quantitativo" possono essere eseguite con strumenti classici tipo Geiger, ma nel caso l'indagine sia "qualitativa" ovvero cosa "è" quello che si sta misurando, allora serve un MCA "multichannel analyzer".

Progetto ambizioso ma possibile, basta guardare il video per capire che, pur non essendo le "migliori tecnologie disponibili"(MTD), si raggiungono risultati notevoli.

Today they are available on the market, after the events in Fukushima, several models of Geiger counters and dosimeters, of doubtful value if not used correctly. Many of these are pretty much defined "vintage" but their cost does not seem to follow the definition.

The investigation of such "quantitative" can be performed with traditional instruments like Geiger but if the survey is "qualitative" or what "is" what is being measured, then MCA is a "multichannel analyzer."
